It's not often that you see me name a client or their business in my newsletter. I must ad-here to privacy issues but I've been given permission and a woman's got to do what she's got to do.
My client, Lorene Hughey along with her mother, Altamese Kerr have opened a bakery. There isn't a better phrase to describe that bakery than "heaven on earth" because that's what you'll find at Lorene's Loving Oven at 905 N. Federal Hwy in Lake Park. I de-scribed to her what I'd consider the perfect cake: A layer cake with mostly white butter cream frosting with coconut not only on the outside but between each layer, luscious chocolate frosting in a large circle on the top of the cake, and white cake alternating with chocolate cake. This was my 50th birthday cake. Well, I can only say most people had seconds, the waiter who served it begged for a piece and then came back begging for a piece for his co-workers. It was the fluffiest freshest best tasting cake I've ever had in my life (and I want more). She'll do special orders (881-9006 you're probably too late for the holidays) or you can buy with confidence from her display. Congratulations! You have a winner!
